I snapped a few pictures of these cars at our annual Stuff a Plane with Toys for Tots. This activity is sponsored by The Redlands Airport Association. The Redlands Airport Association has partnered with U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots fundraiser that collects new unwrapped toys that then get sent out to needy families. After about a month of collecting, Volunteer pilots stuff all the toys into their planes and fly them to the Marine base. It is a great way to give something back to the community.
I received a terrible call the other night. Someone had driven their truck into the wing of my airplane. Still working out details of repairs, thankfully the driver in question came forward. Below are a few shots of the damage.
First fight to Catalina. Went perfectly! It is a known dangerous airport to go to. The airport is on the top of the island with a cliff on both ends plus half the runway is 2% incline.
