January Cleanse

I start off every January with a Cleanse. I don’t subscribe to the “New Year, New Me” or “New Year Resolution” B.S. that many people make for themselves. Instead I strive to start the year on the right foot. The cleanse I do starts with the Standard Process 21-day cleanse. This cleanse program gives you a recommended shopping list, and menu items to eat. The biggest change is only eating non-processed and vegan foods.

It is challenging to develop new habits and lifestyles, but at the end of the 21 days it is very easy. I reach for fruit, veggies, and the like over junk food and chips. Without adding in anything extra, just changing what my body is consuming it recharges and energized the mind and body for the new year. My chronic heart burn goes away, quality of sleep improves, energy levels increase. Most of the body functions like blood sugar, blood pressure, pulse, hydration, skin, all improve. In fact, I have not found one negative of the program. I have lost almost 15 pounds and feel great. I highly recommend every do this cleanse, once to twice a year.
